Mouth Culture’s Wolverhampton show at KK’s Steel Mill
Mouth Culture’s Wolverhampton show at KK’s Steel Mill was a testament to their growing presence in the scene, proving exactly why they’ve been making SO many waves. With support from Kez and Mirrortalk setting the tone for the night, the dedicated crowd were more than ready for Jack Voss & co.
Though the audience started off a little reserved, the band quickly turned the energy around, feeding off the passion of fans who screamed every word back at them. Chants of "Leicester" echoed through the room, a proud nod to the band’s roots, while tracks like ‘Cherry Red Rage’ and ‘Ratbag’ sent the moshers into a frenzy at Jack’s command.
Despite not being the most interactive crowd, they knew exactly when to join in, making for a show that felt both raw and polished. Mouth Culture’s ability to command a room while keeping their set tight and engaging speaks to their undeniable talent. They manage to balance high-energy moments with seamless interaction, never wasting a second they have the stage.
Personally, watching them grow from a Doncaster car park for a mini day festival with the likes of Trash Boat and WSTR, to a stage like this whilst touring with acts like You Me At Six has been a journey in itself, and after this performance, it’s clear they’re only just getting started.
