Miles Kane - ‘One Man Band’ Tour

Date: 17th November 2024

Location: King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut - Glasgow, Scotland

Miles Kane lit up Glasgow’s iconic King Tut’s on Sunday night with an electric performance, on his “One Man Band” Tour. This gig marked his final Scottish date, following stops in Edinburgh and Aberdeen before heading South, and it was clear from the start that Kane had saved something special for the famous Glasgow crowd.

The night kicked off with Stoke-born singer Lissy Taylor, whose laid-back set provided the perfect warm-up. Her smooth vocals and chilled vibe helped set the mood, giving the audience a chance to ease into the evening.

When Kane hit the stage, joined only by drummer Victoria Smith, the energy in the room shot through the roof. Stripping things back to just two band members gave the show a raw, powerful edge that suited his style perfectly, and he also went down a more acoustic route at times during the set.

Opening with “One Man Band”, the title track from his latest album, Kane wasted no time getting the crowd onside and energetic, with charismatic stage presence. He tore through a setlist packed with fan favourites like “Rearrange” and “Don’t Forget Who You Are”. Tracks from his 2023 album, like “Troubled Son” and “Best Is Yet to Come”, slotted in seamlessly and were met with just as much enthusiasm.

Kane’s connection with the Glasgow crowd was undeniable. Declaring, “I’m home!” early on, he fed off their energy and gave it back tenfold. By the time the final notes of “Come Closer”, his most streamed track, faded, the room was buzzing, leaving no doubt that Kane is in his element on stage, and in Glasgow.
