Khruangbin’s Biggest Headline Show To Come To The UK In 2025
Khruangbin have now announced their biggest UK headline concert to date, a massive open-air show at London's Gunnersbury Park on Friday, August 15th, 2025. Gunnersbury Park in West London has established itself as one of the capital's best outdoor sites and, in August 2025, it will stage a series of day shows offering a diverse range of musical genres.
It seems the Texan trio — consisting of Mark Speer, Donald “DJ” Johnson and Laura Lee Ochoa — were destined for greatness; Speer and Johnson originally crossed paths in 2004 in a mutual church gospel band and, three years later, Speer organically met Ochoa and they bonded over their shared love of Afghan music. Eventually, the band ‘Khruangbin’, named after a Thai word that roughly translates to mean “airplane”, was formed in 2010 and has been undoubtedly crushing it ever since.

In April this year, the three-piece released their fifth record, A LA SALA, which Bandcamp have described as "a porthole onto the bounties powering Khruangbin's vision and a reimagining and refuelling for the long haul ahead.” Since the album, they have embarked on a world-wide tour, travelling across Europe during a very busy festival season, and then culminating the US leg in their home state of Texas just a few days ago.
The psychedelic rock band will be joined by special guest TV On The Radio, a New York-based art rock band who just announced a long-awaited return to live performances, as well as a 20th anniversary remake of their debut album, Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes, which will be released next month. They have been depicted as "one of the most compelling American rock and roll stories of the modern age" by the BBC, and have shown themselves to be one of the most influential bands of the decade by constantly exceeding expectations while maintaining admiration from critics and fans.
