James Bay at the O2 Academy in Glasgow
Date: 1st February 2025
James Bay put on a fantastic show at Glasgow’s O2 Academy playing to a packed crowd with a full band. He took the stage right on time at 9 PM and delivered a set full of fan favourites and new material.
Before Bay came on, Canadian singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk opened the night with a soulful and heartfelt set, setting the mood perfectly for what was to come.
Bay kicked things off with “Craving” and kept the energy high throughout the night. Highlights included massive singalongs for “Hold Back the River” and “Let It Go,” as well as emotional moments with songs like “Scars” and “If You Ever Want to Be in Love.” He also played some new material, giving fans a taste of what’s next for him. James also covered “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley changing the lyrics in the iconic song to “Glasgow I can’t help falling in love with you” which got roars and cheers from the Scottish crowd.
The crowd was fully invested from start to finish, and Bay’s connection with them was clear as he shared stories and thanked everyone for their support. With a tight band behind him and his signature soulful vocals, he delivered a performance that felt both polished and personal.
All in all, it was a brilliant night of live music, and James Bay once again proved why he’s such a standout performer.
